Originally from Northern Maine, his move to Portland ignited a deep passion for cooking that has only grown over the years. Elise, a proud Massachusetts native, grew up on a family-owned farm that features a remarkable wedding venue established in 2007. This rich background has cultivated her dedication and appreciation for exceptional food, outstanding service, and the magic of bringing people together. A Vision Brought to Life
In the fall of 2024, Courtney MacIsaac and Kevin Casey proudly opened the Downtown Social, setting out to create a vibrant dining experience. The idea was great good, small plates, and big vibes. A place where people could come together and connect with each other and their community, and of course be social!
Kevin was on the lookout for a chef to join him, someone who could craft delicious, feel-good food with an elevated touch. That’s when Elise, who had previously worked with Kevin, introduced him to Jordan. From their very first conversation, the chemistry was undeniable; they were so in sync that they began finishing each other’s sentences. It was indeed the perfect match at the perfect time.
Sadly, in October, Kevin's sudden passing sent shockwaves through the Portland restaurant community, leaving family, friends, and employees in profound grief. Kevin was a dynamic force, and his legacy lives on through all who knew him. Inspired by his vision, Perfect Timing was founded and continues to partner with Courtney at the Downtown Social. We are committed to celebrating his belief in the power of exceptional food and outstanding hospitality, ensuring that his passion continues to shine.
